Our individual dog walks are all led with loving care, patience, fun, and confidence that ensures we build a trusting relationship with your canine companion. Individual walks are great options for senior dogs, reactive or aggressive temperaments, dogs who are not spayed/neutered, or dogs who just prefer one-on-one attention.
This 30-minute local walk is great for dogs with low to mid-range energy levels who need a daily walk but only just enough to “avoid the zoomies”. Your dog will get some exercise while getting the mental stimulation of sniffing and playing in their own neighborhood.
This 1-hour walk is perfect for those dogs who have lots of “energy to burn”. These outings are customized to your dog’s needs and are designed to provide lots of physical and mental stimulation leaving your dog content and ready for a nap upon return. They can include walk and play at the beach, playing fetch at an off-leash park, or an engaging trail walk or run.
Every For4Paws individual dog walk includes door-to-door service for pick-up and drop-off and updates complete with photos after each walk.
For the safety of all dogs, For4Paws has developed certain criteria necessary for your furry family member to join our Group Walks or Weekend Group Adventures. If your dog does not meet all the criteria, we are still happy to help, but they may instead be better suited for individual walks.
Criteria for Group Walks or Weekend Group Adventures:
Our group walks are great for any dog that is highly social and loves interacting and playing with other like-minded pups. All dogs must meet our criteria to be part of the fun. Group walks take place at a variety of local on and off-leash trails. We keep our pack size to a maximum of four dogs on any one walk which allows for a bit more one on one play time with the dogs while still being able to safely lead the pack. Our packs are built with care selecting dogs we feel will get along well with the rest of the pack. Rest assured, we will find the perfect pack for your pup for maximum safety and fun.
The 1-hour “group pack and play” is a great way for your furry family member to hang out with their new pack friends. Keep your dog physically and mentally stimulated with an hour of off-leash fun at a local “hover dad” approved play area. Each walk is designed with the pack in mind and can include, for example, high energy games, intense sniffing time, or, when the weather permits, even swimming – whatever best burns the packs physical and mental energy while ensuring maximum fun.
Our 90-minute group adventures are ideal for those intense high energy breeds who love the company of other high energy friends. Our go to location for these adventures is primarily North or West Vancouver where the trails offer a wide range of gentle slopes to rugged terrain, but the location may also include trips to Spanish Banks or Pacific Spirit Park. These energy burning adventures are guaranteed to satisfy the most demanding dogs and will leave them ready for a long nap upon returning from their days adventure.
Hydration and snack breaks occur 45 minutes into our adventure and again at its end. During the warmer days, multiple hydration breaks are taken. Group adventures are offered rain or shine, but some breeds can handle inclement weather, and some cannot. You know your dog better than anyone so during our rainy season if they require some defense against our Pacific Northwest weather, please set them up for a fun, and warm, day.
Travel time is not included in the 90-minute adventure. Depending on location, expect your dog to be away for 2-2.5 hours.
Our “dog gone hiking” adventure doesn’t start till the last dogs’ paws hit the trail. This ultimate adventure will have your canine friend in their happy place as they take in the sights, sounds, and scents of the great outdoors. This adventure occurs during pre-determined pick-up times on Saturday and Sundays only and each pack is limited to four dogs. Safety is paramount on For4Paws adventures, that’s why prior to beginning their weekend adventure, your furry family member will be fitted with a GPS tracker that is linked to a phone app as a precautionary measure to ensure you never have to worry.
Every For4Paws group walk and adventure includes door-to-door service for pick-up and drop-off and updates complete with photos.
Puppies and senior dogs might need an extra potty break or two during the day as they may not have the ability to keep it in. For4Paws also understands that dog parents might have a long day/week at work or require a long outing or night out but worry about how their dog at home will fare – that’s why we offer short drop-in visits for existing clients on a flexible as needed basis.
The benefit of the “whiz and sniff” isn’t just about helping you with potty breaks when you aren’t able to be there, it’s about keeping a routine for your furry family member ensuring they (and you) can stay stress and anxiety free.
A night away, a work trip, a weekend getaway, or an extended vacation shouldn’t be a stressful affair for you and especially not for your beloved furry family member. That’s why we offer boarding services to our For4Paws dog walking clients. We believe in providing a loving and family like stay experience – think of it like a sleepover for your dog with someone they already know and love.
To keep everyone happy, we have a strict two dog limit at any one-time policy and ensure if we are boarding dogs from different households that they are already acquainted with one another.
